In the first quarter of 2024, the top 5 travel and local apps on a unified platform in Europe displayed significant activity in terms of downloads and active users. Here’s a closer look at the performance of these apps, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Booking.com: Hotels & Travel saw a consistent download rate, starting at around 484K in early January and slightly decreasing to about 424K by the end of March. Weekly active users showed an overall upward trend, climbing from approximately 16.2M to 17.1M over the quarter.

Airbnb experienced stable download numbers, beginning at roughly 353K in the first week of January and ending at around 333K in the last week of March. The app’s active users also increased steadily, growing from about 7.9M to 8.1M throughout the quarter.

Yandex Navigator maintained a steady revenue stream, peaking at around $12.4K in the last week of February. Downloads fluctuated slightly but remained robust, averaging around 140K per week. Active users saw a gradual increase, reaching approximately 4.1M by the end of March.

Ryanair had consistent weekly downloads, starting at about 231K and ending close to 231K by late March. Active users showed a slight increase from around 1.4M to 1.4M over the same period.

Google Earth exhibited stable download numbers, averaging around 190K weekly downloads. Active users for the app increased steadily, from approximately 1.7M in early January to about 1.8M by the end of March.
